Fake Embassy of ‘West Arctica’ Busted in Ghaziabad: Man Posed as Ambassador for 7 Years

In a bizarre and shocking revelation, Uttar Pradesh Police have uncovered a fake diplomatic setup in Ghaziabad where a man was operating a consulate for imaginary nations including West Arctica, Saborga, and Lodonia. The accused, Harshvardhan Jain, had transformed a rented house in Kavi Nagar into what looked like a functioning embassy — complete with flags, forged documents, fake diplomatic number plates, and even morphed photos with top Indian leaders.

Authorities recovered over ₹44 lakh in cash, multiple foreign currencies, 12 fake passports, dozens of stamps and seals, and cars sporting illegal diplomatic plates. Jain allegedly promised visa services, citizenship, and overseas job placements through these so-called micronations — all entirely fictitious. His operation had been running for over seven years and is now under investigation for fraud, impersonation, and possible money laundering through shell companies.

This case serves as a stark warning to the public about fraudulent schemes that misuse the image of diplomacy. Always verify credentials with the Ministry of External Affairs and avoid any entity claiming foreign diplomatic power from unofficial sources.
